All raised garden beds are bottomless and handcrafted with premium materials and meticulous attention to detail. They are constructed with thick corrugated Zincalume metal and treated structural pine, secured with zinc screws.
The zincalume metal sheets are available in two colors: Charcoal and Silver with the option to treat the timber with a low-VOC varnish.
The Original vs The Minimalist
There are two styles of raised garden beds available: The Original and The Minimalist. The Original is the first version, while The Minimalist was designed with fewer materials to offer a more affordable option.
Both styles are built to limit soil exposure to the timber. The design ensures that the soil only comes into contact with the metal, preserving the integrity of the wood and extending the longevity of the garden bed.

FAQ
Do raised garden beds have bottoms?
No, our raised garden beds do not have bottoms. A raised bed without a bottom enables roots to extend into the soil beneath, offering more room for growth and access to additional nutrients.
Which height is best? Standard / Waist Height?
Most vegetables, herbs, and flowers can be grown in our standard raised beds, which have a height of 500mm. However, for those who prefer not to bend over, our waist-height raised beds at 900mm are the perfect option.
Is the timber treated?
We use CCA-treated structural pine for constructing the frames. Our raised garden beds are designed to limit the exposure of the wood to the soil, thereby extending the lifespan of the beds.
What type of metal do you use?
We use corrugated Zincalume metal for constructing our raised beds. The corrugated profile enhances structural strength and stability, preventing bowing or bending under the weight of soil and plants.
Won’t the metal rust?
The idea behind designing these raised beds was to limit the timber to soil exposure. As with most other planter boxes or raised beds, pine will deteriorate at a much quicker rate than corrugated metal when in direct contact with soil.
Zincalume is resistant to rust and weathering, even in harsh climates, and combines the strength of steel with the corrosion resistance of zinc and aluminum. This results in exceptional durability and longevity compared to most other materials.
What is the best material to line raised beds with?
While lining isn’t essential, you could opt for bidum or 250-micron plastic, which would further extend the lifespan.
What do I put at the bottom of a raised bed?
Soil/Grass: If your beds will be installed on grass or soil, simply place cardboard at the bottom. This will suppress weeds and degrade over a few months.
Pavement/Concrete: If you’re placing your raised beds on pavement or concrete, begin by lining the bed sides and bottom with plastic or bidum. Next, add a layer of gravel to the bottom. Then, cover the gravel with weed cloth. Finally, fill the remaining space with soil.
Do I have to assemble myself?
All items are flat-packed and strapped for easy shipping. Assembly instructions are emailed to you once your order has been collected by the courier. The assembly process is straightforward and can be easily completed by anyone.
